Pain Management

Dr. Regina Yoo began her career at Codornices in 1997 and earned her DVM from UC Davis in 2002. She returned as an associate veterinarian in 2003. Dr. Yoo lives in Alameda with her husband, three teenagers, and two dogs, Auggie and Hazel. She enjoys hiking, traveling, concerts, and true crime podcasts.

Dr. Ruochen Wu joined Codornices Veterinary Clinic in July 2025. She has a passion for clinical and anatomic pathology and previously worked at the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Lab. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, crocheting, and spending time with friends and her kitten, Toto. She is fluent in Mandarin.

Dr. Adrienne Bentley, a Cornell graduate and board-certified large animal internist, transitioned to small animal practice after moving to California. A Berkeley native, she's thrilled to be back in the Bay Area with her husband, two children, and cattle dog mix, Beckham.

Dr. Lie, a UC Davis graduate, joined Codornices Veterinary Clinic full time in 2019. A Diplomate of the ABVP in canine and feline practice, he's passionate about medicine, surgery, and dermatology. Outside work, he enjoys trail running, backpacking, and time with his pets.

Dr. Erica Gurley earned her DVM from UC Davis in 2002 and completed an internship at Michigan State University. A Bay Area native, she returned home in 2003 and joined Codornices Veterinary Clinic in 2010.

Dr. David Grant earned his DVM from UC Davis in 1993 and joined Codornices Veterinary Clinic in 2004. With experience in small and mixed animal practice, he lives in El Cerrito with his wife, two children, three dogs, and a senior cat, Haley.

Stephanie has over 7 years of veterinary experience, starting as a CSR before becoming an assistant. She loves helping with abscesses and anal glands and became Co-Lead CSR at Codornices in 2022. At home, she enjoys time with her dog, Seymour Butts.

Inspired by a lifelong interest in veterinary medicine, Allison graduated from high school to become an Animal Assistant and is now pursuing her goal to become an RVT, with a special interest in spay/neuter procedures and a busy home that includes six chickens, a bird, a cat, and a dog.

A highly experienced professional with over 32 years in the vet field, Tira loves assisting in exploratory surgeries and also runs her own house-call business for pet medical assistance, while sharing her home with her two cats, Astro Monkey and Mousse.

Destiny started her veterinary career in 2020 and turned her passion into a profession by becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) after attending Carrington College, and she is a proud owner of three dogs: Sadie, Princess, and Tonka.

A dedicated professional with over 42 years in the veterinary field, Nancy has been with Codornices for over 8 years, loves assisting all affectionate pets, enjoys trivia, and shares her home with her dog, Sally, and two cats, Henry and Wally.

Abi began her vet journey at age 13 volunteering at an animal shelter, moved to the Bay Area in 2018, and now loves assisting with cat X-rays and sedated procedures, while also doting on her 12-year-old dog, Blossom.

Muhammad has worked in the veterinary field since 2017 and joined Codornices in 2022. Now a Registered Veterinary Technician, he especially enjoys assisting with dentals. He loves helping animals and shares his home with two snakes, Basil and Versace.

Jennifer began her veterinary career at Codornices in 2020 and recently became a Registered Veterinary Technician after graduating from Carrington College. She loves assisting in surgery and caring for animals. At home, she enjoys time with her pets-Rio, Peluche, and Kiwi.

Marjorie is our technician supervisor with over 11 years in the veterinary field and seven as a registered vet tech. She also works at an emergency clinic and runs her own pet care business. Passionate about anesthesia and calming anxious pets, Marjorie shares her home with two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, and 10 fish.

Miranda has worked with animals since age 14, starting with feral cat rescue and TNR. She earned her Animal Assisting license in 2021 and is now Lead CSR at Codornices. A true cat lover, she enjoys viewing cat CT scans and shares her home with two cats, Vega and Lunabelle, and a dog, Riley.

Monica has over seven years of veterinary experience and joined Codornices in early 2023. A former zoo volunteer and intern, she's currently studying to become an RVT. Monica loves working with small dogs-especially chihuahuas-and has three cats and a dog, Rocky.
